The Kid in the Red Jacket

When meeting the character Molly, I felt bad for her after hearing her sad story and I thought Howard was being a little mean to Molly. One example of that is “Howard ran away from Molly on their way to school.” When the main character Howard moved, at first I felt bad for him that he will leave all his friends. But after Molly came into the story she was always happy then I thought that Molly wasn’t the problem it was Howard because he was always rude to Molly. From this story I learned how hard it is to move away from your old house and old school and friends. I thought that a really funny part in the story is when “Howard was mean and Molly put her doll to the window to spy on Howard”. The author, Barbara Park, did an amazing job writing this book that I could really tell what it is like moving. This book changed the way I look on people that moved far away from there family and friends. If you know someone who moved, you should read this book and it will change how you think of them.  This was a great book and I think you would like it too.
